Terms of Service

Our Services
ecoShuttle offers services that is two-fold: an “irregular route” charter and limo-style excursion service, and a “regular route” Environmental Commuter Options (ECO) shuttle services. We can customize and tailor to any and all services requested. Although we offer a 24/7 private airport shuttle service, rates are susceptible to a $10 surcharge for pickups 3am-6am.

Waiting Time
Waiting time begins 15 minutes after the scheduled pick-up time and is billable. With a service that has a lot of waiting time, ecoShuttle may employ a stand-by rate that is calculated at a rate of half off the per hour quote.

Reservations
ecoShuttle accepts reservations 24 hours a day 7 days a week. A credit card will be taken to hold the date of service, and the customer can pay cash or a different credit card at the time of service. Your credit card upon booking will not be charged unless there is a cancellation/no show. See Cancellation Policy.

Service Quotes
Our service quotes are estimates. Actual time is based on actual hours driven. We prorate the actual time to the nearest 15 minutes. Gratuity is not included unless you request it included in the quote (standard is 20%). We quote based on how many hours requested but depending on the nature of services, will be able to accommodate a per person rate or flat point A to B rate. Hourly rates vary greatly, which is why you do not see any rates on the website. There is a 2-hour minimum when a scheduled trip is local. Hourly rate subject to increase depending on the mileage driven, or a fuel tax may be instituted if travel is outside the greater Portland area. Please call for an accurate quote/estimate.

Parking
Parking: All parking fees and charges are additional, where applicable.

No Shows
If the passengers are not present at the predetermined pick up with a driver waiting time of 20 minutes, that is considered a billable “no-show” for the entire amount quoted to the customer’s provided credit card.  If a no show occurs on an airport shuttle service in which a credit card is not taken, the customer will be invoiced $20-$30 (if within the greater Portland area) to their home or email (if provided).

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must occur 72 hours before the scheduled pick-up. Cancellations within the 72 hours are billed the entire quoted amount, except airport shuttle services in which the $20-$30 (Portland fee) cancellation fee applies if the driver has left for the pick up. Holiday events and peak service days, such as New Year’s Eve, the cancellation period is 7 days, otherwise the total amount is charged to the credit card.

Customer Phone Number
We prefer to have a valid customer cell phone number. If the driver has not made pick-up after 15 minutes, we will call the passenger. If no contact is made, we will hold the vehicle an additional 5 minutes and then give a no-show call to the driver. If contact is made and the customer asks for additional time, we will allow an additional 15 minutes if no pick-up has been made by that time, we will give a no-show call to the driver. To have a vehicle wait longer than our standard time, you must arrange it in advance with the reservationist or call us as the situation develops. If you do not and we release the vehicle, you will be charged a no-show.

Event Conclusions
The ecoShuttle will be held for a half hour after scheduled conclusion of an event. Additional charges may apply if waiting longer than that. Please call to avoid these charges.

Disclaimers
We reserve the right to limit the number of reservations taken at peak periods and during inclement weather conditions. We promise to do everything possible to be on time or early for all reservations. In addition, passengers making reservations and leaving without calling the office at 877-ECO4PDX (326-4139) or driver (if # provided) may result in a no-show being charged to their credit card.

Out-of-town Pick-ups
Possible charges may apply depending on the area.

Additional Fees
If a passenger vomits on the EcoShuttle, an additional $300 will be assessed. Excessive messiness, including broken glass, spilled beverages and mud/dirt can be assessed a $100 cleaning fee. Pets may be assessed a $25 cleaning fee. Physical damage to the vehicle will be charged the full amount that it took to repair.

Service Denial
EcoShuttle reserves the right to deny service for any reason, including but not limited to natural disasters, civil disobedience, physical damage to the vehicle, incapability, and disorderly conduct.
