Hip Chicks do Wine

4510 SE 23rd Ave
Portland, OR 97202

Hip Chicks do Wine is a ’boutique’ urban winery in Portland, Oregon. In August of 2001 Laurie Lewis and Renee Neely opened their raw and edgy winery in a very non-traditional location–a not so trendy industrial district of Southeast Portland. With a yearly production of 3,000 cases of wine made from grapes sourced from throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington, they are able to achieve their goals of serious wine and serious fun.

The Pearl Wine Shop
1314 NW Glisan
Portland, OR 97209

This basement wine shop offers a medieval-style long table to set the mood.  Ken Collura Collura educates guests about boutique wineries from around the world, offering intimate wine education classes and weekly tastings in the adjacent wine shop. His philosophy on wine is that it does not have to be expensive, elite or difficult to understand. It should be an integral part of every evening’s meal.

Every Day Wine

1520 NE Alberta St, Portland, OR
Wines are displayed on shelves retail-style, and everything is available to taste by the glass in a living room-like atmosphere. Comfy chairs, small tables and an informal bar are packed on weekends with 30-somethings playing board games and petting the resident dog. Wines hover around the $10-$15 range and include some great finds, with a few splurge-worthy bottles as well.
