There were, if you were paying attention last week, headlines that read essentially, “The thing that we knew all along is true, after all!”

The sad fact is that the confirmation was, in fact, the real news. It was a statement on the sad statement of how the Land of the Free perceives science.

Standing Room Only?

Hey Gang!

 

Mark is back on the blog this week.  Fiona did a great job last week with her account of picking up garbage from the Willamette River, thanks Fiona!

One part of my job involves mapping things out on Google maps.  Like most people, I prefer the hybrid map that shows street names across satellite images.  One thing I keep noticing is how developed everything is, and how new developments keep popping up.  It makes me wonder; where are all of the animals hanging out?  (more…)

Willamette Clean Up

Last Saturday, while most of our buses and drivers were up at Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge, my husband and I got up early (for a Saturday), stacked our kayaks on our car, and took off for Cathedral Park. We were heading for our first official river cleanup with the Willamette Riverkeepers and the 3rd Annual Great Willamette Clean Up.

Green Path Transfers Speeds Past 100

Not too long ago, we reported that Green Path Transfers, the WHL Group’s global, eco-friendly airport transfer and ground transportation network, had notched up 50 destinations in more than 30 countries. That was in early June 2011, a mere three months after Green Path Transfers was launched.
