Certainly, we’ve had the busiest summer of our existence. From wine tours to weddings to conferences, our amount of bookings has more than doubled from a year ago. I’d like to take the time to appreciate the business opportunities given to us in this recovering economy. The local dollars invested in ecoShuttle has not only helped us grow to a small business success, it’s given you an earth-friendly transportation option, created new green jobs and is playing a small but significant part to aid in the recovery. At ecoShuttle, we believe the key to any economic recovery is innovation. Entrepreneurs of the now believe sustainability leads to innovation, which leads to survivability and eventually growth.
Sure, we’re not the profitable giant Google was in their infancy, but a business like ours needs time to scale. And the skies the limit! We’re in the people business because we care, and we care about making a difference in what can be a society that wants stagnancy and business as usual.
This Fall, I hope everyone considers ecoShuttle as their designated driver. It’s high time to hang up the keys and not to drink and drive. We have holiday parties on the horizon, so company execs need not worry about the implications of an intoxicated employee driving away from their house. When you offer employees an alternative to driving, it will go light on the environment and your pocketbook, especially if you’ve been hit with the hard times.
